SCAMPTON AIRSHOW
Usually once a year – check on this website for dates – the fabulous Scampton Airshow (Previously Waddington) is staged not 15 miles away – with easy routes in it makes good sense to be able to retreat to a quiet location to camp. We have plenty of space and facilities on well maintained parkland. Use our easy online booking facility and check for availability
NEWARK AND THE CASTLE
Originally built from wood then reconstructed out of stone – you can see why the Castle was built where it was – Newark has a lot to offer including boat trips down the river Trent on which it stands. Great coffee shops (I can recommend Strays), and small individual shops often missing in the larger shopping towns. The market square – Mon, Wed, Fri and Saturdays is also well worth looking round.
LINCOLN / NEWARK ANTIQUE FAIRS
Newark is Europe’s largest antiques fair! We are conveniently located with easy travelling to each of these.
For regular visitors and Traders we are also able to store your caravan between shows at very reasonable rates enabling you to fill up your vehicle and maybe tow a trailer instead of a caravan.
WALKING AND BIRD WATCHING
There is an abundance of wildlife including numerous species of wild birds to be seen on any of the scenic walks within the locality including the 7½ acres of woodland actually onsite
– get up early or just be lucky – and you’ll see deer too!
CYCLING
In the premier cycling countryside of Lincolnshire (it is flat after all) with numerous small surrounding villages:- Norton Disney, Carlton le Moorland and Bassingham within easy reach and good for a well earned refreshment.

With what must be one of the most beautiful buildings in the country you will surely enjoy a day in the historic City of Lincoln. Lincoln Cathedral dating back to 1088 and still outshines all buildings constructed today! Camp at Oakhill leisure and see for yourself – only 10 miles away.
